Bureau of the Steering Committee for Culture, Heritage and Landscape (CDCPP)

On 27 June, the Bureau of the CDCPP will hold its first official face-to-face meeting since the pandemic began in 2020. Throughout the health crisis however, the Bureau members have continued to work in new ways in order to move the activities of the CDCPP forward and in line with the priorities of the Council of Europe.

The agenda of the June meeting reflects the richness and diversity of the CDCPP’s current work programme including: the follow-up to the recent Council of Europe Conference of Ministers of Culture on “Creating our future: creativity and cultural heritage as strategic resources for a diverse and democratic Europe”; the preparation of an implementation report on Recommendation No.R(2000)13 of the Committee of Ministers to member States on a European policy on access to archives; forthcoming Policy guidelines for an integrated culture, nature and landscape management; and the preparation of an expert report on the Freedom of Artistic Expression. In addition, the Eurimages secretariat will report on the first meeting of the expert working group (CPPWG-Series), set up to assess the possible creation of a legal instrument to enable international drama series co-production. The CDCPP Secretariat will also report on latest developments in the culture, heritage and landscape sectors.
