The Chair of the CAHDI, Mr Petr Válek, participated as an Observer at the Fifty-Eighth Annual Session of the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO), which took place in Dar es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania, on 21-25 October 2019. The CAHDI Chair made a statement during the General Debate, under the overarching theme “Multilateralism and the International Legal Order based on International Law”, presenting the CAHDI’s work and activities. In 2017, AALCO obtained observer status in the CAHDI. AALCO is an international intergovernmental organisation with 48 members states from Asia and Africa. It is an advisory body in the field of international law and also a forum for Asian-African cooperation in legal matters of common concern.
