Back Emerald Network biogeographical Seminar for bird species

The Secretariat of the Bern Convention and European Environment Agency organised an Emerald Network biogeographical evaluation seminar from 23 to 24 May in Kyiv (Ukraine). It aimed to assess the sufficiency of the proposed Emerald Network sites in Belarus, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine for ensuring the long-term conservation of bird species of European importance.

This seminar has been carried out within the framework of the ENI SEIS EAST II project, funded by the European Union through the European Neighbourhood Instrument and implemented by the European Environment Agency in the Eastern Partnership Region.

The event was opened for representatives of national authorities, NGOs, independent experts and observers, evaluators, as well as representatives of the Council of Europe and the European Environment Agency.
