On 8 October 2019, representatives of the Department for the Execution of Judgments participated in a meeting aiming at the elaboration of a training course for Ukrainian judges on safety for journalists, organised within the Project “Freedom of media in Ukraine”.
The participants of the meeting - judges, representatives of the National School of Judges of Ukraine, national consultants in the sphere of safety of journalists - discussed the topical issues and the requirements for the execution of judgments related to the protection of journalists, Council of Europe instruments and Recommendations on the safety of journalists and other media actors as well as the relevant case-law of the European Court of Human Rights.
