The second edition of the International Conference Meet Tourism Lucca took place on Thursday 12 and Friday 13 November 2020. Initially foreseen to take place in Lucca (Italy) in April, the event was finally held in an online format due to the COVID emergency situation.

The meeting was organized by FEISCT (Federazione Europea Itinerari Storici Culturali e Turistici) under the patronage of Regione Toscana, Comune di Lucca, ANCI Toscana, with the support of Toscana Promozione Turistica and the collaboration of Fondazione Campus di Lucca, the European Commission and the European Institute of Cultural Routes (EICR).

The event counted the participation of Mrs. Giuliana De Francesco, President of the Steering Committee on Culture, Heritage, Landscape of the Council of Europe and representative of Italy to the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes (EPA). Mr. Stefano Dominioni, EPA Executive Secretary and EICR Director, and Mrs. Luisella Pavan-Woolf, Head of Office of the Council of Europe Office in Venice, took part in the different sessions and discussions. The opening of the webinar included the participation of representatives of national, regional and local authorities.

The conference included a training session on the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe methodology, delivered by Mrs. Carolina Clark, EICR Project Manager.

Representatives of certified Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe among which Liberation Route Europe, Via Francigena, the European Route of Ceramics and the European Route of Historic Thermal Towns shared their experiences with the audience.
