Back The Mediation screens are becoming operable in UYAP (National Judicial Network System) as of 1 June 2016

The Mediation Centres located within courthouses will be using UYAP mediation screens as of 1 June 2016. UYAP is a network that connects all judicial agencies and the courts to each other.

The Centres have been established initially in 6 pilot jurisdictions (Ankara, İstanbul, İzmir, Bursa, Kayseri, Mersin) in the scope of the Project on Developing Mediation Practices in Civil Disputes in Turkey.  Now UYAP hosts necessary mediation forms that were developed in close cooperation with the CoE CEPEJ Experts, and connects the courts, mediators and mediation centres under the mediation portal.

Through the UYAP screens, the litigants will be provided with “Mediation Information Form” once they approach to the case allocation bureaus to file a case. In addition, this Mediation Information Form is uploaded in UYAP screens which the judges will be able to use in the course of judicial referral process.

As a result of the Project, the UYAP screens will enable the MoJ to collect and evaluate mediation cases, particularly for pilot courts and make revisions on UYAP screens before its replication in nation-wide.
