Lawyers were trained to become a certified HELP tutor of the Council of Europe

The European Union - Council of Europe Joint Project on Strengthening the Capacity of Bar Associations and Lawyers on European Human Rights Standards conducted an online training of trainers (ToT) to become a certified HELP tutor on 2 December 2020 through a videoconferencing platform.

The ToT started with the opening speeches by Mr Sergey Dikman (CoE-Programme Coordinator), Ünsal Toker (UTBA-Vice President), Ms Eva Pastrana (CoE-Head of HELP Unit) and Mr Cristian Urse (CoE-Head of Programme Office in Ankara). During 1-day training, 30 trainers received the ToT with a detailed introductory session on the HELP Programme and navigation through the HELP Platform by Mr Taha Büyüktavşan (CoE-Seconded Judge, HELP Programme) and practical and thematic sessions by Konul Gasimova (HELP tutor).

After completion of the given tasks to the tutor candidates, they will be qualified as certified HELP tutors of the HELP courses which are available to all users in Turkish.

As of now, seven HELP Courses are available in Turkish for self-learning, to all users of HELP Online Learning Platform.
