1st Speaking Days between Bosnia & Herzegovina and "the Former Yougoslav

In the framework of the Social Security Co-ordination and Social Security Reforms, the 1st Speaking Days have been organised in Skopje ("The Former Yougoslav Republic of Macedonia") on the 22-23 April 2008. Relevant civil servants and/or representatives of pension funds from ''the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia'' and Bosnia and Herzegovina met in order to examine individual compliants in respect of social security rights acquired by individuals. Representatives of the two countries met together to solve pending cases on social security issues. 87 individual cases where examined. Some of the pending cases were solved on the spot and free legal advises were provided to all the attendees. Some other cases needed further looking into and the experts agreed to follow up on those cases. The objectives of the activity were the following: There were 87 individual complaints examined by the experts. These citizens have pending claims to social security benefits involving both countries. The list of complaints can be requested from the Secretariat of the Programme.
While many cases have been solved on the spot, the experts
committed themselves to look deeply into the unsolved cases and to contact
the relevant claimants once a solution to their cases will be found. |
