Private organisations and enterprises
Public and private partnerships can lend their support to the campaign by helping to raise awareness through their specific channels, such as the tourist industry and airlines, hotel chains, trains and taxis. The campaign material can also be used and promoted by industries that produce clothing and toys for children.
Internet service providers, telephone companies and important websites have huge potential for creating and promoting a safe online environment for children.
There is practically no limit to the initiatives that could be undertaken by private enterprises and organisations towards eliminating child sexual violence, as long as these remain within the scope of the campaign and promote the Lanzarote Convention.
The first private partner to join the campaign was the advertising agency Grey Amsterdam which developed with the Council of Europe "The Underwear Rule" concept. This agency also mobilised a number of world renowed artists and producers to help with the production of this work.
