The CARDS regional project is aiming at strengthening police capacities against serious crime in South-Eastern Europe. The project is jointly funded by the European Commission and the Council of Europe. Launched on 1st of March 2004, it will end in June 2007. The Council of Europe together with the consortium partners from Belgium, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the International Organisation for Migration are responsible for the implementation of the project.
