EuroDIG to connect European national IGFs

[16/09/2010] The European Dialogue for Internet Governance (EuroDIG) will support and assist in the setting up national Internet governance forums across Europe and to connect them together as part of a common space to further discussion and interaction.
Participants at a regional discussion forum held at the Internet Governance Forum in Vilnius supported the need to consolidate the EuroDIG, as a platform to develop a European Internet governance perspective, and agreed that the input of national IGFs is essential together with that of other participants.
A proposal was put forward for EuroDIG to create a content frame for new national IGFs that could structure national discussions to be fed later to the EuroDIG. There was also consensus on the need to extend the event to new stakeholders at the following EuroDIG to be held from 30 to 31 May 2011 in Belgrade (Serbia).
