John Warmisham: ''I encourage cities and regions to join the Alliance and make this project a success''

''The Alliance of Cities and Regions for Roma Inclusion, which is in the process of being put together, will be a very concrete follow-up to the Summit of Mayors on Roma'', John Warmisham, Congress thematic Rapporteur stated during the debate held on Wednesday 21 March. Its main objectives will be to improve local and regional capacity for project implementation and to help secure funding for these projects, in particular from EU and international donors.
The representative of Open Society Foundation, Kenneth Davey, underlined the complementarity between the projects led by the Foundation and the future Alliance. The Alliance is planned to be launched in September 2012.

''L'Alliance des Villes et Régions pour l'inclusion des Roms, qui est en train d'être mise en place, sera un suivi très concret du Sommet des maires sur les Roms'', a déclaré John Warmisham, Rapporteur thématique du Congrès, au cours du débat qui s'est tenu le mercredi 21 Mars. Ses principaux objectifs seront d'améliorer les capacités locales et régionales pour la mise en œuvre de projets et d’aider à assurer le financement de tes projets, en particulier par le biais de fonds provenant de l’Union Européenne et d’autres donateurs internationaux. Le représentant de l'Open Society Foundation, Kenneth Davey, a souligné la complémentarité entre les projets menés par la Fondation et l'Alliance à venir. Le lancement de l’Alliance est prévu en septembre 2012.
