Four cities awarded the ''3rd Dosta!-Congress Prize for Municipalities''

The ''3rd Dosta! - Congress Prize for Municipalities'' has been awarded to four communities as part of the Congress ’ contribution to the Council of Europe’s Dosta! Campaign. The winners : the communities of Jyväskylä (Finland) and Surčin, Belgrade (Serbia), as well as Southwark, Greater London (United Kingdom) and the Autonomous Community of Madrid (Spain), will receive the prize in the framework of the 21st Congress Session on 19 October 2011 at 18:30 at the headquaters of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg. The ceremony will be attended by Keith Whitmore, President of the Congress, Jeroen Schokkenbroek, Special Representative of the Secretary General for Roma Issues, and Permanent Representatives from the Council of Europe member states of the prize winners.
The prize, established in 2007, rewards municipalities which are distinguished for their participatory and innovative work in combating anti-Gypsyism and promoting the inclusion of Roma in political and social life.

Quatre villes récompensées par le ''3e Prix Dosta ! – Prix du Congrès pour les municipalités''

Le ''3e Prix Dosta ! du Congrès pour les municipalités'' a été décerné à quatre collectivités, dans le cadre de la contribution du Congrès à la campagne Dosta ! du Conseil de l’Europe. Les villes lauréates : Jyväskylä (Finlande), Surčin, Belgrade, (Serbie), ainsi que Southwark, située dans le Grand Londres (Royaume-Uni), et la communauté autonome de Madrid (Espagne) recevront ce prix le 19 octobre 2011 à 18:30 au siège du Conseil de l’Europe à Strasbourg lors d’une cérémonie en marge de 21ème session du Congrès, en présence de Keith Whitmore, Président du Congrès, Jeroen Schokkenbroek, Représentant spécial du Secrétaire Général pour les questions relatives aux Roms, et des Représentants permanents des Etats membres des villes lauréates.
Ce prix, créé en 2007, récompense des municipalités qui se sont distinguées par la mise en œuvre d’initiatives créatives et innovantes dans la lutte contre l'anti-tsiganisme et en faveur de l’inclusion des Roms dans la vie politique et sociale.
