Social cohesion indicators: application at local and regional level

Strasbourg, 27.03.2007 - In 2006-2007 Congress conducted a pilot project with the city of Mulhouse in order to experiment on the ground with the Methodological Guide to the Concerted Development of Social Cohesion Indicators, published by the Council of Europe.

In a resolution and recommendation discussed during its spring session, the Congress suggests applying the Methodological Guide at local and regional level by setting up co-ordination groups representing the various stakeholders concerned, with the focus on citizen involvement at every stage and the organisation of exchanges between towns and regions.
