Назад Conference on policing in the digital age and creation of a network of high-level police representatives

The Council of Europe will bring together senior representatives of the Ministries of the Interior and the directors of the national police forces of the member States and representatives of EUROPOL, INTERPOL and the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) to discuss the role of technology in the day-to-day work of the police, and best practices and training needs in this sphere. Discussions will be held in the light of the relevant Council of Europe instruments (particularly the Convention on Cybercrime, the MEDICRIME Convention and the Convention on an Integrated Safety, Security and Service Approach at Football Matches and Other Sports Events), the Council of Europe’s partnership with the private sector in the area of technologies, and its work on artificial intelligence.

Another item on the meeting agenda will be the network of high-level police representatives, whose establishment will make for improved technical co-operation between member States’ police forces and the Council of Europe, intended to promote good practices and exchanges of experience between professionals and the national correspondents of police authorities.
