The 10^th edition of the Training Academy on Cultural Routes is held in Périgueux-Montignac and Les Eyzies de Tayac, Dordogne, France, from 31 May - 2 June.

It is organised by the European Institute of Cultural Routes and the Prehistoric Rock Art Trails, certified Cultural Route of the Council of Europe since 2010, in cooperation with the Dordogne Périgord department, the Centre International de l'Art Pariétal of Lascaux, the Pôle d'Interprétation de la Préhistoire, and the Musée du Périgord d'art & d'archéologie.

The theme of the Training Academy 2023 is "Looking to the Future: visibility, cooperation and sustainability in the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe”.

Mr. Germinal PEIRO, President of the Prehistoric Rock Art Trails and President of the Departmental Council of Dordogne, and Mr. Stefano DOMINIONI, Director of the EICR and Executive Secretary of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe (EPA) will open this event on May 30^th at the Dordogne Périgord department headquarters.

This year, the Training Academy will also see the intervention of Mr. Sergio ORTEGA MUÑOZ, from the Ministry of Culture and Sport of Spain; Mr. Juan Carlos BAENA FRANCO from UNWTO; Mr. Christophe VIGNE from the Pôle d’Interprétation de la Préhistoire; Mr. Giuseppe ZAFFUTO, Spokesperson of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe; Mr. Lorenzo CANTONI, from the Università della Svizzera Italiana (Switzerland) as well as Representatives of 34 Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe.

During three days of intensive meetings, the participants also exchanged their experiences and proposals in the management of their respective Cultural Routes to further increase the notoriety of the programme, which bring together more than 3000 members in 60 countries.

The conclusions of the Training Academy will be officially presented at the next Annual Advisory Forum on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, which will be held in Łódź on 20-22 September 2023.
