On 5 April 2018 a seminar for investigators on criminal aspects related to cases on bioethics took place in Minsk.

The programme of the seminar included presentations made by Ms Irina Iatsenko, Senior Lawyer of the European Court of Human Rights, Ms Anna Mikhedenko, Legal Administrator of the Bioethics Unit of the Council of Europe, Mr Vladimin P. Moroz, Deputy Director of the Institute for retraining and qualification upgrading of judges, prosecutors and legal professionals at the Belarusian state university and Mr Sergey V. Poduzov, expert of the Council of Europe. Participants had a possibility to apply the acquired knowledge during the practical case-study exercises. The exercises were developed on the basis of the case-law of the European court of Human Rights.

The seminar was jointly organised by the Project “Bioethics: Human Rights and Biomedicine”, the Project “Human Rights for All” in co-operation with the Institute for retraining and qualification upgrading of judges, prosecutors and legal professionals at the Belarusian State University.
