In the afternoon, a high-level conference co-organised with the Association for the Prevention of Torture (APT) and with the support of the OSCE-ODHIR, attracted experts from all 47 Council of Europe members states and beyond. Following the conference, a ceremony to mark the 30th anniversary of the CPT was held. Speeches were given by Marija Pejčinović Burić (Secretary General of the Council of Europe), Ambassador Jean-Baptiste Mattei (Chairman of the Ministers’ Deputies, Permanent Representative of France to the Council of Europe), Liliane Maury Pasquier (President of the Parliamentary Assembly), Linos-Alexandre Sicilianos (President of the European Court of Human Rights), Dunja Mijatović (Commissioner for Human Rights), Mykola Gnatovskyy (President of the CPT), Anna Rurka (President of the Conference of INGOs) and Martine Brunschwig-Graf (President of the Association for the Prevention of Torture).
