During its plenary session, the Venice Commission is expected to adopt, inter alia, opinions on the amendments to the Judicial Code of Armenia, on draft amendments to the Election Code and the Law on Political Associations of Citizens in Georgia (jointly with OSCE/ODIHR), on the draft amendments to the Law on the Judicial Council and Judges of Montenegro, on the draft law of Kosovo* on the State Bureau for verification and compensation of unjustified assets, on the draft Law on Supreme Court of Justice of the Republic Moldova, on the Serbian draft legislation related to the constitutional amendments on the judiciary and on the prosecution service, as well as on the functioning of democratic institutions (joint with OSCE/ODIHR).
The Venice Commission will also adopt amicus curiae briefs for Armenia and for the Republic of Moldova and will endorse its urgent opinions on the amendments to the Law on the President of Montenegro and on the selection of candidates for the Constitutional Court judge position in Ukraine.
Vice-President of the European Commission Věra Jourová will take part in the plenary session.
The session will be held in camera. Any press releases for adopted opinions will be made available as of Monday 19 December, when the opinions are expected to be published.
