For 10 years, Damn Fine Media have been creating animations that inform, engage and support campaigns. Over the years, we have created a number of videos around topics such as Diversity and Inclusion, Free Speech and Hate Speech for clients, including Facebook, the BBC, the Open Society Foundation and of course the Council of Europe.
Each organisation we work with has their own policies on these very important topics, so before we write the script, we read their policies and talk to the organization about what the animation needs to say. We then write a draft script, using simple and clear language, to help the message reach the broadest audience. This draft script is sent to the client and we work with them to create the final draft. We then create the visuals for the animation. We create each scene so that it reinforces the messages in the script as clearly as possible. The client feeds back and we make any changes. Once the script and the scene designs have been approved by the client, we can then create the animation.
