Indietro Intercultural Employment Pathways Program

Supporting people from intercultural backgrounds within the Ballarat region to become ‘job ready’.

The Intercultural Employment Pathways Programme (IEP) aims to enhance social inclusion, employment and education pathways for culturally and linguistically diverse men, women and youth.

This programme supports participants with training and personal development opportunities to be work and study-ready in Australia. The IEP program is funded by the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) and coordinated by the City of Ballarat – Intercultural Team with the support of partners Ballarat Regional Multicultural Council (BRMC), Ballarat Community Health (BCH) and the Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY). Besides, each City Council area undertook evaluation with their participants and received overwhelmingly positive feedback. The Cities decided to continue to work together, invite participants to develop a two-minute story to share at an event all together. This will build on and provide interested participants an avenue to contribute their stories in a safe and supported way.
