Georgia: Kutaisi announced as the 2021 Annual Advisory Forum host city

On 28 May, the meeting “Cultural-routes-Georgia, Europe” was held at the Georgian National Museum, in Tbilisi. The President of Georgia, Mrs Salomé Zourabichvili, and other governmental officials attended the meeting at which Kutaisi was announced as the host city for the Annual Advisory Forum 2021.

During the event, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia announced the certification of two new Georgian cultural routes: “German Settlements” and “Following Alexandre Dumas”. The meeting was also the occasion for the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Mr. Levan Kharatishvili, to present a new Android mobile application (Cultural Routes), available for free in the Google apps store. The event ended with a 3D show of the Cultural Routes of Georgia.

Member State of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes since 2016, Georgia is crossed by 4 of the 38 certified Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe: European Route of Jewish Heritage, Iter Vitis Route, European Route of Historical Thermal Towns and Prehistoric Rock Art Trails.
