Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning (DIST), Politecnico and Università di Torino, joins the University Network on Cultural Routes Studies

The Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning (DIST), Politecnico and Università di Torino, has just joined the University Network for on Cultural Routes Studies. A General Framework Agreement for Collaboration between the University and the European Institute of Cultural Routes (EICR) was signed by Mr. Stefano DOMINIONI, Executive Secretary of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe (EPA) and EICR Director, and Prof. Mr. Andrea BOCCO, DIST Head Department.

The Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning (DIST), Politecnico and Università di Torino, is the 15th academic institution to join the University Network for Cultural Routes Studies.

The Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning (Dipartimento Interateneo di Scienze, Progetto e Politiche del Territorio, DIST) is the reference structure of the Politecnico and Università di Torino (Turin, Italy) in the research fields studying the processes of transformation and governance of the territory, considered in its physical, economic, social, political, cultural and their interrelationships, in a perspective of sustainability. DIST promotes, coordinates and manages research, teaching and third mission activities for the actores of the future challenges of sustainable management of territories.

The University Network for Cultural Routes Studies is a network of Universities interested in the study of Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe. The Network aims to encourage the conduct of research on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe related issues, encourage students to undertake their academic research on Cultural Routes, jointly apply for European Grants with the EICR, participate in the annual programme of activities of the EICR and offer scientific advice where required.
