What should be done to improve the treatment of terror victims?

Interview with Antoine Leiris
7'41" 12 October 2016 Council of Europe Strasbourg

On 13 November 2015 Antoine Leiris lost his wife Hélène when she was killed at the Bataclan theatre in Paris by Islamic State gunmen who massacred 90 people and wounded many more. Two days later he wrote a message to her killers on Facebook, denying them his hatred, and that of their young son.

Nearly two years later, he is now campaigning for European countries to establish a common status for victims of terrorism, so that they can be treated the same wherever they live. In this interview he tells his personal story, and why he wants Europe to do more to help victims of terror.
