Call for participants: International seminar

An international seminar about Council of Europe standards on youth policy and youth  work and their application in national policies and programmes

 

 The Council of Europe Youth Department, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the National Youth Council of Russia are co-organising an international seminar with youth policy and youth work experts from the Russian Federation and other states-party to the European Cultural Convention. The seminar supports the application and implementation Council of Europe standards on youth policy and youth work in and by member states and by other stakeholders in youth policy.

 

The programme of the seminar will focus on dialogue and mutual learning of youth policy and youth work. Particular attention will be given to the practices of youth policy and cross-sectorial cooperation in promoting Recommendations of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe at national and local level.

The participants will explore and exchange about the standards of the Council of Europe in the youth sector, including its key principles, such as co-management, which fosters youth participation in decision making, as well as about the Council of Europe’s main activities in youth policy. This seminar entails the active involvement of all stakeholders – young people, policymakers, researchers, NGOs, national and international organisations.
