More than 20 NGOs and activists joined the “WE CAN for human rights speech” partners to discuss the training and educational needs of people combating hate speech online in an online webinar on 15 September.

The WE CAN for human rights speech project is developing 3 easy to use tools to help monitor hate speech and identify its potential impact, draft human rights narratives, and set up effective campaign strategies.

The project partners presented the tools during the webinar and received feedback from the participants on their design. The partners will continue to develop the tools and they will be available online in Spring 2021.

The project will organise similar networking opportunities for NGOs and activists to exchange their work, ideas and brainstorm together as well as discussing trends in hate speech online.
