GLACY+ in the Kingdom of Tonga

The Cybercrime Programme Office (C-PROC) of the Council of Europe is currently undertaking a training mission in the Kingdom of Tonga, delivering the Advanced Judicial Training on Cybercrime and Electronic Evidence for Judges and Prosecutors of Tonga and representatives of 6 other countries of the South Pacific (Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Samoa, Kiribati, Fiji and Cook Islands).

The Advanced Judicial Training is a newly updated training developed by the Council of Europe aiming to enhance the skills of judicial practitioners all over the world that have already received the introductory course and is composed by aspects of technology, Budapest Convention and investigation through practical exercises and case studies.

The opening event was well hosted by H.E. The Minister of Justice of Tonga and the participation of representatives of all layers of the Government and the diplomatic community with the presence of Australia, New Zealand, China and Japan. Many thanks experts deployed by the Council of Europe, José Luís Lopes da Mota from Portugal and Nelda Montesa from the Philippines.
