Training programme for the Executive Committee of ATU of Gagauzia, the Republic of Moldova

On 9-10 November 2017, the Centre of Expertise for Local Government Reform, DG-II Democracy, through the Council of Europe Office in Chisinau organised an off the job training for the management of the Executive Committee of ATU of Gagauzia and its subordinate units.

The training was organised to respond to the request and needs expressed by the leadership and the staff of the Executive Committee of Gagauzia conveyed to the Council of Europe during previous project activities and meetings. As a result, the participants have been provided with the opportunity to improve their knowledge and share their experience in management, teamwork, etiquette and ethics in state institutions, public speaking and business correspondence.

Mrs. Irina Vlah, Governor (Baskan) of Gagauzia, present at the event, has expressed her gratitude for the useful information the training conveyed to participants and requested further more specific trainings on topics of Executive Committee’s staff interest. She believes that these kind of trainings would help to increase the capacities and efficiency of the Executive Committee’s staff. The request expressed by the Governor goes in line with the feedback collected within the evaluation session, where the participants asked for more detailed and practical training sessions.

This event was funded by the European Union and co-funded by the Council of Europe, within the Thematic Programme “Strengthening institutional frameworks for local governance” under the Partnership for Good Governance (PGG) 2015-2017 for Eastern Partnership countries.
