The CyberSouth+ joint initiative of the European Union and the Council of Europe supported the High School of Magistrates of Morocco in the organisation of a training of trainers course to increase the number of national judicial experts that can deliver national training programmes on cybercrime and electronic evidence.
A selected group of magistrates, who successfully completed the course, will be deployed by the High School of Magistrates to further educate other magistrate in regional jurisdictions.
Morocco, as Party to the Convention on Cybercrime (Budapest Convention) since 2018 and signatory of the Second Additional Protocol on enhanced co-operation and disclosure of electronic evidence since 2022, has been investing resources to strengthen the response to cyber threats and has been actively contributing to reinforce co-operation on cybercrime in the Southern Mediterranean region.
