The Group of Specialists on the European Diploma for Protected Areas met in Strasbourg on 13 March 2015 for their annual meeting.

Background: The European Diploma for Protected Areas is a prestigious international award granted since 1965 by the Council of Europe. It is awarded to protected areas, managed in an exemplary way, for their outstanding scientific, cultural or aesthetic qualities and their European importance for the preservation of biological, geological and landscape diversity.
