Training on “Civil participation in local decision-making” in Armenia

On 20-21 and 22-23 March 2018 capacity building training on “Civil participation in local decision-making” took place in Aghveran, Armenia. The training brought together representatives of all 52 consolidated communities in the country, including elected officials and municipality staff members. International and local experts presented the toolkit of the Centre of Expertise for Local Government Reform and shared their experience of working in different contexts. The training participants were engaged in practical exercises and active discussions.

Following the training, CoE expertise will be provided to the targeted communities to conduct community and stakeholder analysis, which will support them in future policy planning and development.

The training was organised in cooperation with the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development in Armenia.
