The Council of Europe electoral support Project continues publishing the periodic electoral journal ‘Elections and Democracy’ in co-operation with the Supreme Election Commission of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.

provide the general public and electoral stakeholders with transparent information, promote an informed choice of citizens and address the latest developments on electoral processes, the 4th edition of the journal opens the floor for discussions on the following topics: international election observation – mandate and competencies, electronic voting – international standards and good practices, election management bodies – instruments ensuring transparency and impartiality, media monitoring and elections, history of elections, with a focus on passive and active suffrage. Specific sections of the journal give the opportunity to voters and representatives of civil society to express their views on recent developments related to electoral practices.

The journal is published within the framework of the Council of Europe Project ‘Supporting Transparency, Inclusiveness and Integrity of Electoral Practice and Process in Georgia’.
