Disability
More than 100 million Europeans have a disability. They often face a range of barriers to employment, education, health care and other basic services. They are entitled to have access to and enjoy, on an equal basis with others, the full range of human rights safeguarded by the European Convention on Human Rights and other international treaties. These include independence, freedom of choice and a full and active participation in all areas of life and society.
