Committee of Ministers reviews the implementation of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights

On 7-9 December, representatives of the 47 member states of the Council of Europe held their fourth “Human Rights” meeting of 2016, during which they examined the implementation of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in keeping with the supervisory role of the Committee of Ministers, under Article 46 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

The texts adopted at this meeting concern: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, France, Georgia, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, the Republic of Moldova, Poland, Romania, the Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine and United Kingdom.

The Committee also made public the list of cases foreseen for more detailed examination at its next “Human Rights” meeting that will be held from 7 to 9 March 2017. Cases proposed for the March meeting concern Azerbaijan, Croatia, Greece, Poland, Romania, the Russian Federation, Serbia, “the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia”, Turkey and Ukraine.
