Over the past 7 years, more than 400 young people from 6 European countries have participated in Anti-Rumours Youth Summits, contributing through their active participation to the commitment of young people to the values of interculturality.
Aiming to work locally to minimise the impact and spread of rumours, prejudices and negative narratives, these summits have fostered the development of critical thinking among these young people, promoted debate and influenced them and their respective territories.
The common factor in these meetings is the importance of participation through networking, the focus on the exchange of personal and collective experiences and the training provided, which includes tools to strengthen the intercultural perspective to both youngsters and professionals in the field.
A European Youth Summit was organised in Lublin on 5-8 October, under the framework of the European project NET-IDEA, with the participation of youngsters from six different countries and 15 ICC cities, this was followed by the 7th Spanish Youth Summit which was held on 12-15 October 2023 in the intercultural city of Manlleu with 62 participants from 9 Spanish cities.
