Back Greening the youth sector: a sustainability checklist!

Greening the youth sector: a sustainability checklist!

The climate crisis is currently hitting the headlines hard and research shows that it is affecting both the mental and physical health of the 142 million young people in Europe. No wonder that young people have been mobilising massively in the most widespread global climate protests and action ever.

The Council of Europe youth sector is contributing to the process of “thinking green” by creating a framework that makes it easy for participants in educational activities to make environmentally conscious choices.

In this new podcast, Pegah Moulana, chair of the Joint Council on Youth (CMJ) task force on greening the youth sector, and Neringa Tuménaité, author of the Youth Partnership’s Sustainability checklist, reflect on the need to take ecological steps in our activities as a small contribution to combating the climate crisis.

The podcast is available on the website of the Partnership between the European Commission and the Council of Europe in the field of Youth.
