Konstantina E. Botsiou studied history-archaeology at the University of Athens and received her Ph.D. in modern history at the University of Tübingen. Her academic career include teaching at the University of Athens (1999-2008) and her current post as Associate Professor of modern history and international politics at the University of the Peloponnese, where she also served as Vice-Rector (2012-2015). She teaches history at the Hellenic School of National Defense and has been research fellow at many organizations (e.g. LSE IDEAS). She participated in the Academic Council of the Wilfried-Martens-Centre (2011-2014). She is director of the Historical Archives of Nea Demokratia (ND) and special advisor for foreign policy to ND leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
