The Democracy Innovation Award is an original work of the artist Ilana Isehayek which represents an open planisphere suggesting innovation and sharing. It is given by the Secretary General of the Council of Europe each year to the most popular initiative, which was presented in the labs, voted upon by the Forum participants.
For the 1st time during the World Forum 2013, it was given to the "Women of Uganda Network" (WOUGNET) which aim is to improve their capacity in ICT skills, to enable them to collect, package and disseminate information on local corruption and the poor quality of public services.
