On 13 July, a group of secondary-school students from the Veneto region, participating in the Summer Camp organized by TGS Eurogroup Social Promotion Association, visited the Council of Europe Office in Venice.

The students were given a presentation on the Council of Europe, its main bodies and achievements in 70 years of activity. This was followed by the presentation of specific projects supported by the Office in Venice, such as Europe Days, the Italian Faro Network and the European Silk Route.

Turismo Giovanile Sociale (TGS) is a lay association of social promotion, supported by the Salesian Province "San Marco" North-East Italy. Founded in 1968, it organises youth initiatives, such as the above-mentioned Summer Camps. These are one-week projects during which young students can learn English and engage in numerous other activities, such as theatre workshops and sightseeing tours to discover the lesser-known places in the city of Venice.
