On 24 November author Paola Irene Galli Mastrodonato will present her book “Bianca Cappello. From damnatio memoriae to truth” at the Council of Europe’s Venice Office. Together with historian Federico Moro, she will paint the portrait of the Venetian noblewoman who became Francesco I de’ Medici, grand Duke of Tuscany’s wife. They will try to shed light on her mysterious, possibly violent death.

The book will be presented on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women 2021.
