“Europe and Venice for 1600 years”

At the Caffè Europa on 5 May, participants heard of the strong links that exist between Venice and Europe, since the foundation of the city 1600 years ago. 

The meeting, this year in online mode, was moderated by Rai Veneto Director Giovanni de Luca. Discussants were the President of the City Council of Venice, Ermelinda Damiano; the Deputy Director of the Representation in Italy of the European Commission, Vito Borrelli; the writer and journalist Alberto Toso Fei; from Ca' Foscari University, the Pro-rector for International Relations Fabrizio Marella and the Director of CESTUDIR Maria Ida Biggi; as well as the Head of the Venice Office of the Council of Europe, Luisella Pavan-Woolfe.
