The European Committee of Social Rights will convene for its 295th session from 16 to 20 October 2017 in Strasbourg.
The Committee will continue the examination of the draft Conclusions 2017 of the Charter with respect to the thematic group “Health, social security and social protection” as well as the Conclusions for XXI-2 (2017) of the 1961 Charter. The Committee will also hold deliberations on the admissibility and on the merits of several collective complaints. Furthermore, it will continue the preparation of meetings and/or written reports in respect of several countries within the procedure provided for by Article 22 of the European Social Charter on “non-accepted provisions”.
On Tuesday 17 October the President of the Committee, Giusepe Palmisano, will address the participants of the colloquy on “Acting Together to End Severe Poverty in Europe” organised by the INGO Conference of the Council of Europe in the occasion of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.
