Who are the PC-OC?

The Council of Europe’s Committee of Experts on the Operation of European Conventions on Co-operation in Criminal Matters (PC-OC / Terms of reference / List of Conventions) is the forum in which, since 1981, experts from all member and observer states and organisations come together to elaborate ways to improve international co-operation in criminal matters and identify solutions to practical problems encountered in the application of Council of Europe Conventions in this field. The PC-OC held its 78th plenary meeting

The PC-OC held its 78th plenary meeting under the Chairmanship of Mr Erik Verbert (Belgium). The meeting was held via videoconference for the first time.

This event enabled delegations to discuss challenges and good practices in international cooperation in criminal matters in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, ways to enable cooperation with the European Public Prosecutor’s Office, and other important topics including future developments in mutual assistance in criminal matters and extradition  issues.
