The Council of Europe supported the capacities of the Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination (the Commissioner) on strategic planning and effective implementation of the new strategic plan, which is under finalization. On 17-18 October, 16 staff of the Commissioner attended a training course run by Council of Europe experienced international experts to advancing skills and capacities in monitoring/reporting and formulating national strategies. The knowledge and skills obtained by the Commissioner's staff will directly contribute to proper management of strategic planning processes and implementation in a sustainable fashion.

The Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination is a key beneficiary of the European Union and Council of Europe joint project “Enhancing the effectiveness of the Albanian system of Human Rights Protection and Anti-discrimination”.
