The assessment and reorganization of courts and their territorial competences is one of the priorities of the work of the Albanian High Judicial Council. In line with the guidelines for judicial mapping methodology, developed in the frame of the joint European Union/Council of Europe Action "Strengthening the Efficiency and Quality of the Justice System in Albania - SEJ II", the High Judicial Council established today an Inter-institional Working Group tasked with the preparation of an Action Plan to prepare a new judicial map in Albania.

The inter-institutional working group, which is composed of representatives from the Ministry of Justice, the High Court, experts from the Council of Europe and representatives of the EURALIUS V Mission and USAID will aim to finalise this process in the next 6 months under close assistance of international and local experts of SEJ II Action.
