On 3-6 July 2018, in Tirana, CEPEJ experts met with the Ministry of Justice, the General Prosecutor Office, the School of Magistrates as well as key partners from Euralius and USAID to present tailor-made CEPEJ experts’ documents for Albania with concrete suggestions for the preparation of an IT Strategy for their justice system. This document was discussed and improved to ensure that it will be useful to the future IT governance body which should be soon established by a Council of Ministers decision as prepared by the Ministry of Justice. The CEPEJ reaffirmed its commitment to support national authorities in this process by offering further its support in light of European best practices for the design of ICT Centres, the improvement of the future case management system and related IT training in cooperation with the SOM.

This activity took place under the SEJ II Action “Strengthening the efficiency and quality of the justice system in Albania”, which is part of the programme "Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey", co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
