The European Union/Council of Europe Action “Supporting effective domestic remedies and facilitating the execution of the European Court of Human Right judgements” continued its support to relevant Albanian institutions to correctly apply the case law of the European Court of Human Rights on property related cases as well as to effectively implement the Law no. 133/2015 “On the treatment of property and finalisation of the process of compensation of property”.

In this view, on 5 and 12 April 2019, about 80 staff of the Agency for Treatment of Property, involving lawyers and engineers, were capacitated on practical application of the commentary to aforementioned legislation, prepared with the support of the Action. Assisted by senior Council of Europe experts, they shared experiences and discussed on the ways to address the respective challenges.
