Albanian School of Political Studies celebrates its 10th anniversary

The Albanian School of Political Studies celebrated its 10th anniversary at a ceremony held in Tirana with the participation of the President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, Deputy Prime Minister  Senida Mesi, Head of the Council of Europe office in Tirana Claus Neukirch, Swiss Ambassador to Tirana Christoph Graf, as well as alumni, associates and distinguished personalities of the country. The ceremony also served as a graduate of the School's 2017 class, which will join the network of over 290 alumnae (former participants) graduated over the past ten years.

The panelists praised the role of the School set up by the Council of Europe with Swiss support for educating young leaders. The School's program remains unique by bringing together representatives of various political forces, but also key decision-makers, local elected representatives, and civil society and media activists in order to exchange experiences, facilitate dialogue and generate new ideas.

The Albanian School of Political Studies was set up in Albania in 2007 by the Council of Europe and is part of a network of schools in 21 countries in the East and Southeast Europe.
