Getting familiar with Croatian practices on data collection

The Council of Europe organised a study visit to Croatia for the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Prosecutor’s Office, the Court, NGOs and Public Defender’s Office on 1-4 April. The study visit aimed at informing participants about the good practices of data collection on discrimination, hate crime and hate speech in Croatia.

The visit gave the opportunity to the participants to get a closer insight into anti-discrimination policies of Croatia. They received first-hand information on data collection mechanisms in Croatia and benefited from exchanging experiences and  good practices.

The study visit participants met with the representatives of Ombudsman’s Office of Croatia, Gender Equality Ombudsman, Ministry of Justice, Prosecutor’s Office, Ministry of Internal Affairs and NGOs working on anti-discrimination issues.

The study visit is in line with the objective of the Co-operation Project “Fight against Discrimination, Hate Crimes and Hate Speech in Georgia” implemented under the Council of Europe Action Plan for Georgia 2016-2019 assisting authorities to improve the data collection process.
