Educators learn more about the human rights education

The Council of Europe organised a 5-day training of trainers on human rights education and equality. The aim of the training was to raise awareness about the Council of Europe principles and methodology for conducting human rights education and a non-formal education, as a means to address hate speech and discrimination.

The participants of the training came from Tbilisi and the regions of Georgia. They represented non-governmental organisations, educational institutions and Public Defender’s Office.

After the training, the participants will organise activities based on the Council of Europe manuals “Compass”, “Bookmarks” and “We CAN!”.

This activity is supported by the Council of Europe co-operation Project “Fight against Discrimination, Hate Crimes and Hate Speech in Georgia”. The project is implemented under the Council of Europe’s Action Plan for Georgia 2020-2023 with the support of the Danish Neighbourhood Programme in Georgia (DANEP).
